Feet Hit the Street

Despite having a cold, I was determined to run my 8 miles today.  It’s rained or snowed here for about 5 days straight, which kept me from running my scheduled 8 on Sunday- per my half-marathon training schedule. April 24th will be here before you know it and I’m so ready for this run…in a good way.

My feet hit the street at precisely 7:45 a.m.. I had forgotten all about my cold after around 10 seconds into the run.  That’s usually how it goes…if anything is bothering me- whether it be personal, work related or a cold -it’s forgotten within seconds of my feet hitting the street.  That’s just one of the many benefits of running.

A few years ago, I thought about running in a marathon…and thought, and thought, and thought.  That was as far as I got.  No more sitting on the sidelines of life for me.  Don’t just think about it…DO IT!!!  Let your feet hit the street and see the transformative qualities for yourself.
