Pomegranate Chiller

Pomegranate is one of my all time favorites.  I love that the taste has just a hint of tartness…enough to make it interesting.  After giving up sodas over three years ago, I decided to create a dinner drink that was a little sweet without being overly sweet. So, I put together three of my favorite drinks and came up with what is now, “Pomegranate Chiller”.  Sometimes we need a little something special for dinner, especially when guests are coming over. Well, this is that special drink.

Pomegranate Chiller

Ingredients: (1-2 servings)

few ice cubes
1/2 cup chilled green tea (unsweetened, home brewed is best)
1/2 cup pomegranate juice (Bolthouse Farms or Pom Wonderful)
1 lemon wedge (squeeze in glass)
1/4 cup freshly squeezed OJ
1 lemon or orange slice (for decoration)

Directions:

Chill a glass in the freezer for about 15 minutes prior to adding the ingredients.  Add green tea & pomegranate juice to the chilled glass and top off with freshly squeezed OJ. Don ‘t stir the OJ…makes a very pretty drink when unstirred. This is yummy dinner drink and perfect for when guests are coming over.
