“I had been reading Gale’s blog about clean eating for quite sometime due to fact that we shared a common interest in nutrition (I am a breast cancer survivor as well). I am a realist by nature and when I hired Gale as my personal trainer had no preconceived image of a lean and ripped body but rather was mainly focused on the benefits of optimal health and having a better sense of well being. The first week of training was a real eye opener for me as to how out of shape that I truly was. I will admit that I was sore beyond belief but was determined more than ever to overcome the years of neglect that I had subjected my body to. I thought this would surely be my demise as I am a true fan of fine southern cuisine and wine. It didn’t take me too long into the program to see the necessity of adhering to a clean diet. Only four weeks into the program and I had dropped a total of 10 pounds and my energy level had rocketed. Gale provided quality motivation and instruction that has put me on the path to a healthier lifestyle. And guess what? Yes, you guessed it… a more fit body! “I was first attracted to clean eating to lose weight.  I am 57 years old, 5′ 9″ and I have weighed 230 pounds for the past couple of years. I started this program with Gale on May 24th, 2010.  Just under two months later I had lost 30 pounds.  A secondary motivation was a follow up on my yearly physical to be retested for my cholesterol level.  My cholesterol dropped from 228 to 142 during this time period. This was dramatic enough for my doctor to call me at home and ask me what I was doing for my cholesterol level to have dropped to such a healthy level. I explained the clean eating and exercise program that I was doing. My doctor was impressed to say the least.
