Tropical Grape Smoothie

I have to admit, this is one of my favorite shakes/smoothies to date. As my daughter used to say, “This is YumLicious”!!! This morning I was out of veggies so this is what I came up with:

Tropical Grape Smoothie                              

Ingredients: (2 servings)

1/2 Mango, slightly over ripe (frozen, I freeze fruit ahead of time…much better than using ice)
1 small banana (sliced & frozen)
8 red seedless grapes (frozen)
1/2 cup low-fat milk, soy or almond milk (unsweetened)
1/2 100% pure pomegranate juice (w/o apple juice or added sugar)
1/2″ slice fresh ginger root
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder, no sweeteners added (optional)

Note:  The shake in this photo does not have any added protein powder.

Toss all ingredients into the blender and blend until the consistency of a milkshake. This shake is extra rich & thick!!!
